I am not able to see my car club when adding a new car club?
Only Active car clubs are able to be chosen, that is car clubs who are up to date with their affiliation fees with MotorSport New Zealand.
When I click renew I cannot proceed as it tells me I have outstanding fines
MotorSport NZ’s Internal system, SYBIL, records all paid and unpaid fines. This web portal has found your record in that database has an outstanding fine. If you believe this should have been cleared up, please call MotorSport NZ who can discuss this with you.
Is paying on line safe and secure?
Yes so long as an approved payment service is being used. The best way to tell, is when you get to the part of actually entering your credit card number, do you see a small yellow padlock on the screen down by your computer clock area.
What happens after I pay?
MotorSport NZ Staff pick up the licence renewals from a queue created in their internal database, SYBIL. From there they will verify details, print the receipt, print the licence and send it to you.
When do I receive my licence?
Normally within three working days plus delivery time after you have paid. If you do not receive within 5 working days, please call MotorSport NZ on, 04 801 9559.
Do I need a Photo?
If you hold an Entrant, ClubSport or National Licence, it is not compulsory but can be added to your licence for $5.00. If you hold an International Licence it is compulsory.
Why does it say it may take longer to process due to medical reasons?
The system has picked up something, e.g. high blood pressure, that they would like to run past the MotorSport Doctor before supplying your new licence. If the doctor has any additional questions, he will contact you directly.
Why does it say it may take longer to process due to country of passport reasons?
If you hold a passport other than New Zealand, before reissuing your licence, MSNZ need to contact the country with whom your passport is with. To ensure that you don’t also hold a licence in that country. If you do, this licence needs to be surrendered before MotorSport New Zealand can issue your New Zealand Licence.
Why can I not change my country of birth?
This is what supplied to MSNZ at the time of application. Please call MotorSport NZ on, 04 801 9559.
